Dunbar Announces New Satellite Office Hours, Free On-Site Property Tax/Rent Rebate Assistance
PENN TOWNSHIP – In another effort to deliver superior service to District 56 residents, Rep. George Dunbar (R-Westmoreland) announced that his district office staff is now offering satellite office hours on the third Thursday of each month at the Trafford Community Library, 416 Brinton Ave.

Available services include assistance with PennDOT paperwork, PACE and PACENET applications for senior citizens and many others.

Additionally, his district office staff will be on-site to provide FREE application assistance for the state’s 2015 Property Tax/Rent Rebate (PTRR) program and any other state-related issue in Trafford Borough, Manor Borough and Irwin Borough.

Dunbar’s first outreach assistance event will take place on Monday, March 14, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Trafford Manor Housing Authority, 534 Brinton Ave. The second event will be held on Thursday, March 17, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Manor Public Library, 44 Main St. The third event will be held on Monday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to noon at Irwin Manor, 100 Western Ave.

Eligible participants can receive a rebate of up to $650 based on their rent or property taxes paid in 2015. The program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians who are 65 years or older, widows and widowers 50 years or older, and those 18 years or older with disabilities. Applications are due by June 30.

Residents are reminded to provide all the necessary income, property tax or rental information required to process claims quickly and accurately. The 2015 Property Tax/Rent Rebate claim forms are also available by contacting Dunbar’s Penn Township district office at (724) 744-0305 and online at RepDunbar.com.
