Dunbar to Host Special Public Meeting to Answer Questions Regarding Potential Sunoco Logistics Pipeline Project
NORTH HUNTINGDON – Rep. George Dunbar (R-Westmoreland) is inviting all North Huntingdon residents who received letters from Sunoco Logistics regarding a proposal to build a local high-pressure gas pipeline to attend a special informational meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
Beginning at 7 p.m. in the North Huntingdon Townhouse Commissioners’ Meeting Room, located at 11279 Center Highway, this meeting will allow local residents to ask questions and share their concerns directly with Dunbar, township commissioners and representatives from Sunoco Logistics.
“While it important to note that Sunoco Logistics has not committed to this project to date, it is equally imperative that we all have the most accurate and timely information going forward,” said Dunbar. “The fact that many of our local residents received a letter regarding this potential project does not mean this pipeline will be going through their yards or neighborhoods. The purpose of this public meeting is to give everyone the opportunity to have their questions answered and concerns addressed.”
